RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a fully remote Mid-Level Java Developer to join their team.
Summary:
The Mid-Level Java Developer will oversee their transportation systems, which is an app that is used by planners, that dictates where the product will be shipped from, which vendor will be used, how it will be tracked, etc. This includes the first mile, middle mile, and delivery (handle all steps of the transportation of products through the companies supply chain to the customer). This person will also be supporting the invoicing management application where all the carriers submit invoices. They are currently building new Java Spring Boot Microservices on the backend and optimizing the front end with new features using React. They use CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins) and host everything in the cloud with Google Cloud Platform/Kubernetes/Terraform.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5+ years of expertise working in backend technologies (Java 8/17/Spring Boot)
* Expertise in building microservices from scratch
* Expertise working in Cloud platform building microservices (Preferred Google Cloud Platform, AWS and Azure works as well)
* Expertise using CI/CD - Must have extensively used it and have sound knowledge of how it works, preferred if has experience building them (Jenkins)
* TDD experience
* Agile experience (ability to work in a fast-paced environment)
* Experience in React a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
