Community Action seeks a Facilities Coordinator to join our Admin team. The Facilities Coordinator manages projects and completes tasks to maintain safe and efficient operations at Community Action’s owned and leased properties, including administrative offices, Head Start centers, and the Gathering Place. Receives and coordinates completion of work order requests to ensure needs are addressed quickly and thoroughly. Completes minor repair and maintenance tasks while coordinating with external vendors to complete more complex needs. Oversees and coordinates facility maintenance and inspection plans.

Starting Pay: $23.95/hour with $1000 Training Incentive

The Role

  • Receives, manages, and processes work order requests across site locations; keeps staff apprised of progress, ensuring an efficient, high-quality, and customer service-oriented approach.
  • Reviews and recommends repair and replacement of common-use furnishings, appliances, and equipment, as well as coordinates routine maintenance and repairs as needed of agency’s fleet vehicles.
  • Maintains organized repair and maintenance logs for facilities and equipment.
  • Monitors and retrieves security camera footage as requested with a timely response, and assists with proper execution of Standard Response Protocol.
  • Supervises volunteers tasked with completing facility and maintenance-related tasks.
  • Manages facility maintenance supply and equipment inventory; ensures supplies and equipment are properly secured, organized, cleaned, and maintained

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor degree in facilities management, or certification from an accredited technical or trade school preferred.
  • Must have practical experience &/or training in project management, communication, sustainability and operations management
  • Three to five years custodial and/or maintenance experience in a primary role preferred
  • Valid Nebraska Driver’s License and good driving record required.
  • Must enter position with at least basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate English effectively.
  • Must be able work independently and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must have knowledge of general industrial and repair requirements.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload and maintenance requests; assess problems and root issues; and identify resources for projects that cannot be completed internally.
  • Must have skill in the use of vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket, cleaning solutions, lawn mower, weed whip, weed sprayer and chemicals, air compressor, basic hand tools, etc.
  • May require on-call, onsite preparation for changing weather conditions or emergency facility needs
