Pay Scale: $16-$17/hr.

Location: Remote or any Daymark Location

Summary: Position responsible for Medical Record reviews for specified locations. Will be involved in quarterly clinical and administrative review processes. This includes processing reports/graphs and providing timely feedback/plan of corrections as indicated by the reviews. Reports quality improvement outcomes to immediate supervisor and other management and center staff when appropriate. Involved with CARF re-accreditation. Reviews monthly CPT E&M codes and reports to supervisor regarding any recommendations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Quarterly Clinical/ Administrative Reviews- Runs necessary reports to include event audit reports, assigns record reviews (clinical and admin.) for assigned centers. Compiles data, develops reports/graphs and internal plan of corrections which are accurate and timely as required by QI Manager. Follows up with appropriate center managers and supervisor regarding POC’s, obtains center minutes, provides training assistance when applicable. Prepares quarterly Medical Record Report for QI committee meeting
  • Monitors changes and ensures strict compliance with all professional standards, including State, Federal, LME/MCO, CARF, Division of MH/SA/DD, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, other insurance company requirements, agency policies and procedures and HIPAA/42 CFR.
  • Serves on Quality Improvement Committee, as well as Forms sub-committee. Holds semi-annual Support Supervisor/MRTL meetings, responsible for minutes. Assists with trainings (HIPAA, Medical Record Reviews), when appropriate. Informs Center Managers of any Form changes, etc.
  • Apprises assigned Center Managers and others when a policy, procedure or form has been updated or newly developed.
  • Assists with external audits as assigned by QI Manager
  • All other duties as assigned by QI Manager

Education and Experience: High School diploma required. Bachelors or Masters degree in health professional or medical records preferred. Prefer minimum of one year experience in medical records or related area. Experience in Behavioral Health is a plus. Related work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
