Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Paint Technician to be part of its team in its North American operations.
Job Description: Responsibilities:

  • Online robot programming
  • Sealer, UBC, and Dampening
  • Primer, Base and Clear
  • Run trials and adjust parameters
  • Evaluate quality drawings and meet standards
  • Run trials and adjust parameters

  • Electrical Drawing Review
  • Review electrical drawings for new Paint equipment installations.
  • Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trials.
  • Setting up new paint equipment. Calibrating systems to function as designed.
  • Prepare and confirm new Paint equipment at vendor sites.
  • Test functionality of new paint equipment. Confirm equipment operation and all safety devices functions as designed.
  • Create Hand Over Documents, Create snapshots of the robot processes for the NAMC's
  • Willingness to travel. Supports new model Paint projects in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Requirements: Required Skills:

  • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Omron, Toyopuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens)
  • 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
  • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications
  • Experience with Kawasaki Robots, Fanuc Robots (programming and problem troubleshooting)
  • Experience with Digital Engineering (Autocad, Catia, Solidworks, Inventor)
  • Experience with Microcontroller programming
  • Experience with manufacturing automation controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
