Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Senior UI Developer plays a Critical role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between Corporate Safety, Tech Ops business needs and technology delivery. The Senior Developer's role is to lead the efforts to plan, design, develop and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of Corporate Safety business functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. Additionally, this role will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions. The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and will be relied upon to help take the team to the next level from a technological standpoint.

• Work closely with design and development teams to bring our digital experiences to life and ensure they meet the highest standards of usability and performance
  
  Develop and maintain front end applications using JavaScript, CSS, React, and HTML
  
  Collaborate with UX designers, product owners and developers to implement responsive and accessible designs in accordance to United guidelines.
  
  Work with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications to meet needs.
  
  Conduct testing and analyze results to optimize user experience and application performance.
  
  Troubleshoot and debug issues across various browsers and devices
  
  Manages and participates in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design
  
  Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our interfaces remain cutting-edge

Qualifications

What s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field
  
  6+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use
  
  6+ years of experience with React JS or equivalent framework, Node.js and JavaScript
  
  Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  
  Advanced knowledge of software engineering standard processes such as versioning control, software packaging, and software release management using GitHub
  
  Exceptional at coding and on time delivery of quality components and or applications
  
  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  
  Excel with on time delivery with minimal supervision
  
  Creativity & Innovation
  
  Effective Communication (verbal + written)
  
  Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  
  Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Good experience with Agile methodology such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  
  Angular JS experience is a plus
  
  DevOps experience is a plus
  
  AWS highly preferred
