As an investment data analyst senior on our Corporate Investments team, you'll apply programming and quantitative techniques to transform complex data into actionable insights. You'll review asset valuations and durations and create and verify total returns for Progressive's investment portfolio. You'll also work closely with the Investment Reporting team to engage in and understand processes, data, and analytical needs. In this role, you'll collaborate with internal business groups, such as statutory, tax, research analysts, portfolio managers, risk management, and legal. Additionally, you'll engage external partners such as custodians, analysts, examiners, public accountants, broker and dealers, ratings agencies, and pricing vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.

  • This is a hybrid role, which means you'll work in-office two days a week.


Must-have qualifications

  • A minimum of six years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of three years analytical work experience.


Preferred skills
  • Experience utilizing the Bloomberg platform.
  • Understanding of financial concepts related to investments specifically fixed income assets (such as corporate bonds, municipal bonds, structured securities). Exposure to banking and custodial applications and portals.
    Knowledge of accounting concepts, fixed income markets and valuations, yield curve dynamics, corporate credit analysis, structured bond fundamentals, and market regulations.
  • Proven aptitude or experience with using data analysis reporting tools - such as SAS, R, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, etc. and the ability to analyze and report results to management.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office with demonstrated skills in Excel and Access to create, manipulate, and formulate spreadsheets and Access databases

Compensation
  • $77,100 - $102,800/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings; Progressive rewards each of us with an annual bonus based on company performance
