ASCO Equipment is proud to be the authorized Hitachi Mining Equipment dealer in Texas and Oklahoma, and we're looking for an ambitious Mining Equipment Division Director to join our team and lead our mining division.

Responsibilities

The Mining Director will be responsible for working with the sales, parts and service teams to build the ASCO Mining division. In this role, your responsibilities will be divided into two main areas:

  • Your time will be dedicated to being a hands-on individual contributor—engaging directly with clients, closing sales, and building relationships out in the field.
  • Your role will involve leadership—supporting sales teammates with your mining equipment expertise, guiding teams, and driving business growth. This is the perfect role for a driven individual who thrives on providing solutions in challenging environments and enjoys a balance of fieldwork and leadership. You will be tasked with growing sales, parts, service and rental within the mining segment.

The Mining Director's primary focus is to proactively increase revenue through business strategy and exceptional customer service. They will seek out new markets and optimize opportunities to increase profitability aligning with ASCO's continuous growth plan. #HP

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales: Identify and establish new business opportunities in the mining sector through proactive sales calls and relationship-building.
  • Lead with Expertise: Assist the sales, service, and parts teams by sharing your deep mining equipment knowledge and helping to close deals.
  • Customer-Focused: Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving issues, providing tailored equipment solutions, and offering product presentations/demos.
  • Strategic Growth: Work with leadership to execute ASCO's growth plan, finding new markets and optimizing profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the sales team, delegating responsibilities and helping them develop their skills.
  • CRM Management: Maintain pre-call planning, post-call notes, and follow-ups to stay organized and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Safety First: Adhere to and promote all safety regulations and complete required safety training.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience within the mining and / or quarry industries.
  • Proven sales ability and excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of heavy or mining equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
