Systems Contractors, an industrial and commercial HVAC contractor, is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC.

The primary objective of the project manager is to successfully manage all aspects of the project to ensure the project is completed within the schedule, within the budget and results in a satisfied customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project turnover meeting with sales person, estimator and designer.
  • Utilize project turnover checklist to confirm scope of project.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to gain understanding of project scope.
  • Initiate project kickoff meeting with other required parties – APM, superintendent, foremen (piping and sheet metal), controls representative and construction service manager.
  • Provide foremen with estimated hours and discuss weekly progress of project.
  • Coordinate with SCI superintendent and other departments (construction service, controls) for proper field labor.
  • Coordinate inspections and subcontractors with the project schedule.
  • Ensure daily reports are generated daily by foremen. Review for content and accuracy.
  • Mentor both APM and project foreman for successful project implementation.
  • Price, quote change orders, and submit RFIs.
  • Manage project financials – ECAC, forecasting, cash flow.
  • Assemble invoices- AIA.
  • Approve material, equipment and subcontractor invoices.
  • Enforce safety on job site.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of mechanical project management experience.
  • Experience with job costing software.
  • Ability to communicate well and develop relationships with co-workers, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Has strong mechanical plan/spec and design/build knowledge.
  • Must be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
