In business since 1935,Daubert Chemical Companyis a profitable, family-owned specialty chemical manufacturer located near Midway airport and a market leader in the productswe sell to our end users and distributors. We areseeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR) in theplant office. The CSR functions as the primary liaison between the company, sales, and its customers from placement of PO to order entry to shipment of orders. The successful candidate willbe responsible forentering orders andcommunicating order status to customers, sales, scheduling and shipping; providing accurate product and shippinginformation and resolving customer'sissues; processing credit memos and documentationas required. This position will also be trained as a backup to the planning and coordination of production schedules and assist with invoices, inventory, data entry, and calculations.

Essential functions:

  • Ensure that all facets of the order fulfillment process, including entry of sales and sample orders with accurate notes and codes, is being completed and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Communicate order confirmations, changes and cancellations to both customers and internal team members.
  • Acts as a liaison between customers, scheduling, shipping, and sales departments regarding sales orders to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Review plant delivery schedules versus requested dates and resolves any conflicts by proactively tracking and communicating any changes and potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolvecustomer concerns by taking appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction with efficiency and in a timely manner
  • Thoroughly document and update customer records based oninteractions. Accurate file maintenance is a must
  • Other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in order to cash customer service role is required; industrial and/or manufacturing customer service experience is preferred overall.
  • High school diploma/GEDis required; some college coursework is desired.
  • Positive, helpful phoneskills are essential to ensuring good communication and rapport during each customer and internal interaction; respond toinquiries by any method with professionalism
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize and multitask is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office is required, including Outlook email and Excel
  • Ability to learn company’s software to be productive and efficient; CRM database experience, e.g. SalesForce, is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills to calculate weight and volume conversions as needed
