Role:
The Security Analyst will be responsible for deploying and maintaining AWS infrastructure, writing infrastructure as code scripts, conducting penetration testing, creating and updating security policies, assessing computer systems for security risks, overseeing data access, and identifying vulnerabilities in security systems.
Duties:
The Security Analyst will:
- Deploying AWS infrastructure, testing and maintaining updates
- Writing infrastructure as code scripts to deploy to AWS or Azure
- Conducting penetration testing
- Creating various security policies and updating employees on the guidelines to follow
- Assessing existing computer systems for security issues and risks
- Creating and verifying system security plans
- Creating incident reports as necessary
- Overseeing data access and data maintenance
- Upgrading data and security systems and enabling security software integration
- Assessing security breaches and identifying vulnerabilities
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Cyber Security
Required Software Skills:
- 2 years of experience in AWS DevOps and maintaining IaaS platforms
- 2 years of experience in maintaining security controls for a system
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to set and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations
- Technical writing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal communication skills, conduct briefings to senior management
- Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
Other Required Skills and Duties:
- 2+ years of experience in cyber security controls implementation
- 2+ years of experience in AWS DevOps implementation
- Must be able to work from our office in Columbia, MD a few days a week as needed for the project
- Ability to create support documentation for all new applications
- Strong teamwork skills
- Proven knowledge of the most current security and web development programming languages
Preferred Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps engineer
- Certified Security+
