Requirements:

The Financial Accountant position reports to the US Controller and interfaces with the CFO, plant staff and other members of the Finance team. This position is responsible for various accounting duties, including assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, general ledger postings and month end closing.

Additional Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Apply customer payments
  • Collect and analyze data to detect controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and cancelled checks to confirm records are accurate
  • Assist with month end close, preparing journal entries, and reconciling G/L accounts
  • Ensure department goals are met, and departments adhere to approved budgets
  • Assist with other projects and duties, as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Prefer minimum 2 years related finance experience, internships included .
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and analytical softwares.
  • Experience with ERP, specifically Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Professional presentation with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel within the US approximately 10% annually
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to function independently with general supervision and willingness to contribute beyond the defined role
