Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts for the State of Texas client. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT sales, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the Texas government sector. The role involves working closely with our technical teams, clients, and key stakeholders to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and win new business with State of Texas government agencies and public-sector clients.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement officials, and key stakeholders within the State of Texas.
  • Leverage existing government contracts, frameworks, and procurement vehicles to secure IT services and solutions opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to craft compelling proposals, bids, and responses to RFPs.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, regulations, and opportunities in the Texas IT sector.
  • Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and results to senior management.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

  • Recent experience working with State of Texas government agencies or public sector clients is required.
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and experience working with the State of Texas is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and build client trust and rapport.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend relevant events in Texas.
  • Familiarity with IT solutions such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise software, or managed services.
  • Experience with government contracting vehicles like DIR, IT procurement processes, and other state-specific contracts.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to engage with diverse groups within the Texas government ecosystem.
