Position Title: Controller

Location: Houston, TX 77029

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting and treasury operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with a proven ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and treasury functions, including:
• General ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and property accounting.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Develop and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and ongoing forecasting activities.
• Oversee timely and accurate payment processing for employees and vendors.
• Prepare and submit all state sales tax reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Supervise one direct report, providing mentorship and leadership as needed.
• Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in MAS 90 accounting software, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments to meet organizational goals.
