Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hiring Event Coordinator to manage the planning and execution of security clearance job fairs and hiring events in Hanover, Maryland similar to the event we are hosting on 10/15. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating events that attract cleared professionals of all security clearance levels and recruiting employers to participate. Network building with employers and local employment specialists is a major part of this role. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Coordination:
  • Organize and oversee job fairs and hiring events targeting security-cleared professionals.
  • Liaise with venues (hotels) to ensure all logistical details are in place, including room layout, audiovisual needs, and catering.
  • Manage relationships with pipe and drape companies, ensuring the setup meets event specifications.
  • Coordinate with participating employers to ensure smooth event participation, including booth setup and any special requirements.
  • Recruitment:
  • Attract and register companies in the defense, intelligence, cyber, and security sectors to participate in hiring events.
  • Promote events to cleared professionals across all security clearance levels through targeted outreach and partnerships.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, including hotels, event setup providers, and other suppliers.
  • Ensure all contracts and agreements are in line with budgetary and operational needs.
  • Event Marketing & Promotion:
  • Work with marketing teams to create promotional materials to attract both employers and job-seeking professionals.
  • Promote events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and industry networks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in event planning, marketing, business administration, or 10 years experience in cleared event planning.
  • Previous experience in event planning, particularly job fairs or recruitment events, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience working with security-cleared professionals or in the defense/security industry is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to events and manage onsite logistics.
