Position Summary
The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager I is responsible for managing the FP&A department functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of analysis of investments, strategic initiatives, and company performance. This position also works closely with the accounting team to explain the financial results and provide guidance to the business.
Essential Position Duties
Directly manage the FP&A team and guide their processes, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures. General team responsibilities include financial reporting to our parent company in Japan (TICO), support of TMHNA executives, sales coordination and forecasting, Dealer support, etc.
Develop annual goals and implement personal growth plans for TMHNA analysts
Support business case development for strategic projects requiring North American and TICO executive approval, e.g., mergers & acquisitions, IT investments, product development, capital projects, etc.
Assist in project management of TMHNA Executive Strategy Teams, which are comprised of the C-Suite executives. Influence stakeholders to support TMHNA projects.
Enhance executive insights using data visualization with Power BI reporting packages and PowerPoint presentations
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements of TMHNA and its subsidiaries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation and communication of monthly performance with TICO
Gather and analyze data for potential business expansion.
Support C-Suite executives with presentation materials for global meetings
Reviews business results and recommends new productivity or cost savings initiatives
Supports preparation of TMHNA annual market forecast and sales plan
Support TMHNA with the development of our Mid-Term Business Plan (7+ year company forecast / plan)
Help set department Annual Operating Priorities (Hoshin)
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics required
7+ years of accounting experience
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
Outstanding communication skills (both written & verbal)
Strong organization and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
