We have an opportunity available with our team. We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support our team.

Overview: The Deputy Program Manager will support the Program Manager in overseeing the management and execution of programs within the SME Manager Group. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 10 years of experience in program management and a PMP certification. The Deputy Program Manager will assist in strategic planning, resource allocation, and ensuring program objectives are met, particularly in the context of (Department of Homeland Security) DHS\ s cyber defense mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager in developing program strategies and plans that support DHS\ s cybersecurity objectives.
  • Support day-to-day program operations and administration.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure program alignment with national cyber defense priorities.
  • Monitor program progress and performance metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and issues.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Program Manager and senior leadership.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including federal agencies and private sector partners.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a focus on cybersecurity or federal government projects.
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Must have a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in program management tools and software.
  • Understanding of DHS\ s cyber mission and federal cybersecurity policies.
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance
  • Understanding of DHS\ s cyber mission and federal cybersecurity policies.
  • CISSP or CISM is preferred.
  • CISA or Certified Information Systems Auditor, is preferred.
  • Programming, budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) experience.
  • Acquisition Programs understanding.
  • Experience with the integrated execution of cyber defense plans.
  • Must have knowledge of the Program Management field and acquisition management. In particular, an understanding of the DHS Management Directives 102-01 and its supporting guides, DoD 5000, Program Management Institute guides and/or Federal Acquisition Institute guidelines.
