What are the top 3-5 skills, experience, or education required for this position:
BS or MS Degree in Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry with 0 to 2+ years analytical laboratory experience
Strong scientific understanding and communication skills. Self-motivated, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to learn and excel in a fast-paced team environment.
Formal knowledge of analytical separation and detection technology applied to pharmaceutical industries
Demonstrated skills in common, wet chemical, and advanced analytical techniques, including HPLC-DAD, GC, KF, UV, IR, IC, LC-MS, and GC-MS.
Experience in QC labs and/or developing, validating, and documenting analytical methods in a GMP environment is a big plus
The individual would be expected to conduct the following:
Conduct sample analysis using a variety of analytical techniques as needed, for example, HPLC-DAD/UV, GC, KF, UV, IR, IC, LC-MS, and GC-MS, by completely following established experimental protocols and assess results with minimal supervision after initial training
Document experimental activities and results in a GMP-compliant fashion using electronic data acquisition and management systems.
Recognize and report experimental variances
Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
Maintain laboratory equipment and optimize laboratory operations for efficient use of time and laboratory supplies/reagents when appropriate
Consult literature to understand the scientific purpose of assignments.
Conduct test method development and validations under supervision
Apply basic scientific principles to research
Learn and effectively implement new experimental protocols and/or techniques
