Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the end-to-end oversight of the supply chain process. This includes managing procurement, production planning, inventory control and logistics. The role is key to improving efficiency and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to customers, while reducing costs and meeting customer service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
• Optimize supply chain operations, balancing cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Analyze supply chain data and performance, implementing improvements to processes and systems.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

• Establish and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services, mitigating supply chain risks.
• Focus on key events like Chinese New Year

Inventory and Demand Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams for accurate demand forecasting.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.

Logistics and Distribution:

• Oversee the logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Manage in bound transportation providers, negotiating costs and service levels.

Production Planning:

• Work closely with vendor production teams to align supply chain operations with manufacturing needs.
• Review availability of raw materials and components to meet production schedules.

Cost Management and Efficiency Improvement:

• Continuously identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain.
• Use data-driven insights to improve performance and streamline processes.
• Implement technologies and systems (e.g., ERP) to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, marketing, finance) to align supply chain with business needs.
• Communicate with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, logistics providers, and customers.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure contingency plans are in place to manage supply disruptions.

Compliance and Sustainability:

• Ensure all supply chain activities comply with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
• Promote sustainable practices within the supply chain to minimize environmental impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or similar roles (typically 5-7 years).
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems, preference StockIQ).
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:
