The Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will oversee the financial planning process, drive performance analysis, and support decision-making to ensure the company meets its financial goals. The Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will oversee the financial planning process, drive performance analysis, and support decision-making to ensure the company meets its financial goals. The ideal candidate will have strong CPG experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Role And Responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement financial models to support strategic initiatives and evaluate potential investments.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management to drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial performance improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for executive leadership, Private Equity Sponsors, Lenders, and Board meetings.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data, providing actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on the CPG.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data to drive business strategy.
- Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong process improvement, critical thinking, and influencing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
- Ideal candidate would have experience in a blue chip, CPG company and has seen what good looks like as well as a smaller, resource lean company where they had to build for the future.
