<>Job Summary:</>

The SAP FICA Consultant is responsible for managing the functional and technical aspects of the SAP Financial Contract Accounting (FICA) module. This role includes designing, implementing, and supporting SAP FICA solutions, focusing on billing, payments, collections, and financial processes for organizations using the SAP IS-U (Industry-Specific Utility) or SAP S/4HANA system.

<>Key Responsibilities:</>

• Implementation & Configuration:

  • Design and configure SAP FICA modules including Billing, Invoicing, Payment Processing, and Collections Management.
  • Work on FICA sub-modules like Dunning, Security Deposits, and Clearing.
  • Perform system enhancements, updates, and new implementations based on business requirements.

• Business Process Analysis:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze current processes, and design solutions to optimize the financial contract accounting processes.
  • Develop business documentation including functional specifications, process flows, and configuration guides.

• Integration:

  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP FICA with other SAP modules such as SAP FI (Financial Accounting), SAP CO (Controlling), SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), and SAP CRM.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate FICA with external systems or third-party applications.

• Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve functional problems.
  • Perform system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and support go-live activities.
  • Conduct post-implementation support and optimization of existing solutions.

• Reporting & Analysis:

  • Create and manage reports related to contract accounting and billing processes.
  • Use SAP tools to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights to business teams.

<>Required Skills & Qualifications:</>

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP FICA and SAP IS-U or SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Proven expertise in configuring and managing FICA modules (billing, payments, collections, dunning).
  • Experience in utility industry processes (for IS-U) is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of integration with SAP FI, SD, CRM, and other relevant modules.
  • Experience with data migration, testing, and SAP FICA custom development (FQ events, enhancement frameworks).
  • Familiarity with ABAP debugging and reading code is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related fields.
  • SAP Certification in FICA or other relevant SAP modules is preferred.

• Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.
