As an Interior Designer at Switchbox Asia, you will play a pivotal role in crafting stunning event spaces that align with client needs and brand identity. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the execution of creative interior environments for a wide range of events. Your ability to integrate innovative design elements, including digital and interactive displays, into visually engaging spaces will be key.

  • Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
  • Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
  • Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
  • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision and design objectives.
  • Develop and present creative design concepts, including layout, style, and theme, tailored to each event.
  • Create detailed design plans such as floor plans, 3D renderings, and mood boards.
  • Source and select appropriate materials, furniture, decor, and finishes to enhance the event experience.
  • Work closely with event producers, contractors, and external partners to bring your designs to life.
  • Oversee the installation and setup of design elements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Incorporate innovative digital technologies, such as LED displays and interactive installations, into event designs.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate fresh, creative ideas into event designs.
  • Manage multiple event design projects simultaneously, maintaining a high standard of creativity and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 1 years of experience in interior design, preferably within the events or hospitality industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design work, including event spaces and 3D renderings.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
  • Knowledge of event-specific materials, decor, and spatial design.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables efficiently.
  • Experience incorporating digital displays or technology into spatial designs is a plus.
  • A passion for creativity, design innovation, and attention to detail.
