Apply your knowledge and expertise in managing the company’s Accounts Payable operations. In this role, you will help keep the Payables operations accurate, organized, and efficient. What will you do?

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to help maintain our Payables operation. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete proper 3-way match on all inventory purchases
  • Review and approve all vouchers for payment
  • Accurately enter invoices to be paid into the company’s ERP
  • Processes payments requested as needed, including employee expense checks
  • Ensure that all items to be paid follow the company’s approval guidelines
  • Answer vendor inquiries
  • Analyze vendor accounts and make recommendations as needed
  • Assist in monthly closing process for Accounts Payable operations
  • Assist with special projects, as necessary
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignments
  • Proven organizational, and communication skills
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school is a plus

Education and/or Experience:

Preferred - Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other MS Office products as well experience with receivable and collection functions of accounting system software.
