Technical Lead with Share Point and Power Platform

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Technical Lead (Share Point, Power Platform) to work and support the Office of Inspector General (OIG), requirement for comprehensive support in project management, business process reengineering, requirements analysis, and expert-level SharePoint (SP) and Power Platform (PP) subject matter expertise. This includes support from developers skilled in SharePoint architecture and implementation to support Microsoft s application lifecycle management. The work will focus on redesigning and migrating existing SharePoint on-premises applications to SharePoint Online (SPO) and the Power Platform, including the development and modernization of business processes.

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) Technical Lead (Share Point, Power Platform) position focuses on leading a team and working hands-on with projects involving technology. Hybrid Managers require skills and qualifications such as exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Provides Expert/Senior Executive level consulting support for specialized business and operations focusing on, but not limited to, the analyses, evaluation, audit, assessment, implementation or support of the specific subject matter area related to the specific customer objectives and supporting functions.

Provides planning and consultation including program/project guidance, oversight and management.

Directly engages with customers to assess, understand and resolve problems.

Lead the analysis, migration, and modernization of SharePoint on-premises applications to SPO and Power Platform.

Provide technical leadership and oversight for the development and integration of business solutions using Microsoft 365 tools.

Develop and maintain architectural best practices for SharePoint and Power Platform environments.

Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational standards, including compliance with technology models.

Collaborate with project managers and government leaders to prioritize and phase implementation, ensuring minimal disruption during migrations.

Deliver solutions using Agile methodology with a focus on user experience, accessibility, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field (Required). *8 additional years of directly related experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

7+ years of experience in SharePoint and Microsoft 365 (M365) platform solutions, with a proven track record in SharePoint architecture, development, and administration.

5+ years of experience specifically working with Power Platform technologies, including PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related process automation tools.

Demonstrated expertise in migrating legacy SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online (SPO), including analysis and modernization of SharePoint-based solutions.

Hands-on experience leading the design, development, and implementation of solutions within the M365 ecosystem, aligning with best practices and organizational standards.

Experience in business process reengineering and modernizing legacy systems using cloud-based solutions.

Advanced knowledge of SharePoint architecture and development, including custom SharePoint solutions, workflows, and document management systems.

Expertise in Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) and their integration into business solutions.

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and other cloud-based technologies.

Strong understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) within the Microsoft environment.

Proficiency in agile project management methodologies and Human-Centered Design principles to drive user-focused solutions.

Deep understanding of Section 508 compliance and the ability to ensure accessibility in all deployed solutions.

Proven experience in leading teams of developers and analysts, coordinating cross-functional activities with stakeholders, and managing multiple project phases simultaneously.

Strong ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
