We are seeking a visionary Director of Innovation who will lead our efforts in identifying, developing, and implementing transformative technologies that drive our forward looking technology framework. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive innovation across the IT organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a culture of innovation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, communicate and drive a clear forward-looking framework for technology innovation strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and vision.
  • This role does not require the building of production assets but will do all the ideation and transition that to a technology team to make it a reality.
  • Inspire and lead teams to explore new technologies and methodologies that can drive business value and enhance customer experience.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the business.
  • Create and manage a robust pipeline of innovation projects, from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with market needs and company strategy.
  • Foster collaboration among diverse teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and operations, to drive innovative solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and executive leadership to communicate project updates and align on strategic initiatives.
  • Champion a customer-first mentality in all innovation efforts, ensuring that customer feedback and insights are integrated into the development process.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the success of innovation initiatives and provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of innovation efforts.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technology innovators and thought leaders.
  • Create a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and resilience, encouraging team members to take calculated risks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in product development, or related roles, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. 5 years' experience investigating leading edge technology and identifying competitive business advantages. 5+ years' experience in managing teams.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, blockchain, and cloud computing.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, embracing ambiguity and rapid change.
  • A passion for innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
