Job Description
We are seeking an Accountant III to join our dynamic team. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks in the Kirkland, Washington area. The position is geared towards individuals with a strong understanding of tax accounting and QuickBooks, as well as a proven ability to manage client relationships and handle payroll tax returns and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Assist with multiple tax projects, including but not limited to forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065
Contribute to the preparation of year-end transactions and trial balance
Work collaboratively with clients and internal bookkeepers
Facilitate communication and support for clients regarding service engagements
Collaborate closely with the Partner Group and senior staff members
Review payroll return preparation, reporting, set-up and filing obligations
Oversee the setup, review, or preparation of state and local B& O/Excise/Use Tax filings
Ensure accurate payroll preparation
Manage the preparation of annual year-end reporting forms, including 1099s and W-2s
Handle QuickBooks setup, training and troubleshooting
Identify and implement improvements for clients business and accounting processes
Consult and implement advanced and innovative accounting processes and technology
Mentor and train Accountant/Bookkeeper Level I and Level II.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000.

Capability to handle Form 1099
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA certification is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with financial software and systems.
