Job Details

We are seeking an Assistant Engineering Director to provide leadership within a growing statewide Transportation practice. With a solid presence in the industry and expanding opportunities, this position offers the chance to be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative solutions across a range of transportation projects. The ideal candidate will bring over 20 years of project management experience in complex roadway design projects, with expertise in state-level transportation agencies. This role requires significant client interaction and strategic marketing skills to win new projects and expand the firm's market presence.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience with state-level agencies, particularly in roadway design projects for FDOT and local authorities.
Expertise with FDOT District 5, Florida's Turnpike, and CFX is required. Experience with other FDOT districts and design-build projects is a plus.
The candidate will lead business development strategies and oversee engineering teams, ensuring project plans, budgets, and client relations are effectively managed.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Florida is required.

Minimum Experience:

10+ years of experience in roadway engineering and project management.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

Licensure:

Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, with reciprocity in multiple states preferred.

Technical Responsibilities:

Serves as a consultant or advisor on broad, complex engineering projects.
Evaluates practices to achieve sustainability in large-scale projects.
Provides innovative solutions to challenges within the transportation sector.

Project and Task Management:

Manages large, multidisciplinary project teams and develops strategies to meet organizational goals.
Assesses project risks and implements mitigation strategies.
Oversees multiple projects and evaluates team performance to ensure project objectives are met.
