Description

We are looking for a professional HR Generalist to support the Human Resources department. The preferred candidate has 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, Construction industry experience, and is bilingual (not mandatory, but heavily preferred. Duties include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Unemployment Responses
  • I-9 audits
  • Pay changes and Back pay
  • Equipment and asset requests
  • Audit/Verify new hire information
  • Process required DOT employment verification post-orientation
  • Maintain drug testing records and Monitor DOT Random Drug Testing
  • Cobra Administration
  • Benefits enrollment for employees (set up new employees/deactivation of exiting employees)
  • Processing of terminations
  • Enter direct deposit and pay card information
  • Update employee files with personal information changes as needed
  • Answer HR line calls
  • Act as back-up for all company phone lines
  • Act as back up for assisting walk-in applicants and collecting recruiting paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years' experience working in HR
  • Construction industry HR experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with Viewpoint (HRIS)
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • PHR
