Job Title: Senior Accountant (3-Month Contract, Hybrid)

Type: Contract (3 months with potential for extension)

Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant for a 3-month hybrid contract in Burlington, ON, with the possibility of extension. This role requires significant experience with Microsoft Dynamics, specifically in project finalization. A CPA designation is essential. This position offers flexibility with a mix of remote and in-office work, ideal for a candidate who thrives in both environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Oversee the management of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (ASPE) and company policies.
  • Perform variance analysis and develop financial models to assist in business decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation is required.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics, particularly in finalizing projects.
  • Solid background in general accounting and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP (ASPE) principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
