Our Operations Team is seeking an onsite Operations Program Manager. The Operations Program Manager (OPM) is a pivotal interface between Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, Operations, and our contract manufacturers during New Product Introduction (NPI). This role involves managing prototypes, pilot runs, first production builds for new products, and overseeing the development of test, manufacturing, and material processes. The OPM will coordinate the Operations Plan, develop the production launch schedule, perform COGS analysis, and ensure production readiness for the product handoff into manufacturing.

The Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for building development prototypes and production launch units.
  • Provide detailed cost analysis and critical input on the cost implications of design choices.
  • Optimize production costs while maintaining high quality and functionality standards.
  • Integrate new products into the existing product portfolio, leveraging common processes and materials.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration during design reviews, ensuring all requirements and standards are met.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to mitigate potential risks in new designs.
  • Ensure production readiness, meeting all necessary requirements before product launch.

Education And Work Experience Requirements Are

  • Four-year degree (engineering or technical field preferred)
  • 3-5 years of past project management experience

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt in both technical and business domains.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the capability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical staff.
  • Project planning experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation such as drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and travelers.
  • Understanding of a manufacturing environment, particularly products with SMT and mechanical components; knowledge of radio or communications technology is a plus.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is: $75-100k, annually.
