International Point of Care is an Etobicoke, ON-based company specialized in the area of rapid point-of-care. We develop, manufacture, and supply unique biological reagents, raw materials, and lateral flow components for the in-vitro diagnostic industry and the research and development community.

Our expanding team is currently looking for an IT System Administrator I for a full time permanent position.

Position Summary


As System Administrator II you will support existing IT solutions, both on-premises and cloud-based, and provide escalated support for IT help desk operations. This position requires a willingness and aptitude to tackle a wide range of challenges, while applying and enforcing corporate IT polices across all our sites. You will own end-to-end projects while working with employees and business leaders in an extremely collaborative environment. Must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and willing to develop new processes where they do not exist.


What You Will Do


Take ownership of IT-related issues to complete resolution
Place software and hardware into production environment
Support network infrastructure including upgrades and configuration changes
Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and support
Administer VOIP telephone system
Involved in electrical, power backup, and surge protection system configuration as they relate to communication and computer systems, as well as security equipment
Create and update documentation of all processes related to role
Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
Monitor, maintain, and execute IT automation processes and procedures
Responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory
Administer Environmental Monitoring Systems
Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery
Position may require some after business hours and weekend work as needed

Who You Are & What You Bring


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


3+ years knowledge of network connectivity, systems, security, software, and hardware
Microsoft Server Technologies (AD/DNS/GPO/Account Administration)
Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11) deployment, administration, upgrades
Microsoft/Office 365 (Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Intune, etc )
Proficient in scripting, Powershell preferred
Articulate in the English language


Preferred educational and experiential background:


3+ years experience in IT Support and System/Network Administration
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience required
CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, MCSE/MCSA, and Power Shell (Azure and Office 365 scripting) are highly preferred
Experience with Okta, RingCentral, Datto, and NinjaRMM highly preferred but not required
