Network Engineer III (Cisco)

Our client, Milwaukee County, is looking for an individual to move their internal and cloud network forward. Requires concentrated experience with Cisco hardware, software and telecommunications equipment. Must currently reside in Wisconsin to apply for this opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and enhancements of a global Cisco wired and wireless network that delivers voice, video and data services on corporate production and guest
• Coordinates and implements low to high risk network changes according to ITIL framework, independently to mission critical functional areas while following established designs and configurations already developed.
• Assist with developing standards, policies, and configuration Establish and document standards and procedures for team review.
• Working closely with Milwaukee County Security Team to maintain Palo Alto firewalls best practices and recommended policies based on business needs.
• Working with IT Contract Manager, organize and develop process for IT contract management,

Top Skills & Years of Experience

• Cisco Router/Switch - 5 Years minimum
• Cloud Networking - Azure preferred - 5 years
• Palo Alto Firewall - 3 years
• Cisco Wireless - 3 years

Nice to Have:

• Python experience a Plus.
• SolarWinds understanding a huge plus
