NOW CFO provides top-tier financial consulting to businesses throughout the Seattle area. We're expanding our Seattle team and seeking a seasoned Controller to provide strategic financial guidance and expertise to our clients. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.

This role offers a hybrid work schedule based on client needs and preferences. Compensation ranges between $120,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Perform financial analysis, prepare financial statements, and generate financial reports for clients.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP, and manage audits, cash balances, and financial reporting.
  • Operational Control: Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize clients' financial performance.
  • Strategic Support: Provide financial guidance on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor junior staff members, offering guidance on financial matters.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master s degree is a plus. CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Controller, preferably within a consulting firm.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and Excel.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work well under pressure.
