Position Title: OpenText Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Employment Type: W2 Candidates Only
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled OpenText Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining document composition applications using OpenText Exstream. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with OpenText Exstream and be adept at solving technical problems with innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Composition: Design, develop, and maintain applications using OpenText Exstream.
  • Technical Solutions: Create and troubleshoot software solutions, going beyond conventional methods to address technical issues.
  • Code Development: Write secure, high-quality production code, and review/debug code written by others.
  • Issue Remediation: Identify and automate solutions for recurring issues to enhance software stability.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and integrate them into the system.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensure best practices in source control, backups, and the maintenance of DEV, TEST, and UAT environments.
  • Code Writing: Develop formula variables and functions in OpenText Exstream.
  • Application Support: Support application development, debugging, migration, and overall maintenance.
  • Output Management: Work with PDF/AFP output queues, create functions, and handle columnar and XML file mapping.
  • Additional Skills: Utilize Java, Abinitio, GKP (Cloud), CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub as needed.
Required Skills:
  • OpenText Exstream: Proven experience with OpenText Exstream.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong skills in Java, Abinitio, GKP (Cloud), and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to create innovative solutions and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Client Interaction: Experience working with clients to gather and implement requirements.
  • Environment Management: Proficiency in managing development, testing, and staging environments.
Additional Information:
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Travel Requirements: No travel required beyond hybrid work arrangement.
