Overview:
The Middleware Engineer plays a vital role in our organization by managing and maintaining the middleware infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of various systems, and optimizing the performance of middleware components. Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, configuring, and deploying middleware solutions
  • Monitoring and maintaining middleware components
  • Collaborating with development teams to implement middleware changes
  • Investigating and troubleshooting middleware-related issues
  • Performing middleware upgrades and patches
  • Implementing security measures for middleware systems
  • Documenting configuration and changes to middleware systems
  • Participating in on-call support and incident resolution
  • Conducting performance tuning and optimization of middleware infrastructure
  • Assessing and recommending new middleware technologies
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in middleware administration and engineering
  • Strong understanding of middleware technologies such as JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic
  • Proficiency in Java programming and scripting languages
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Knowledge of networking and security concepts related to middleware
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex middleware issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices
  • Relevant certifications such as IBM Certified System Administrator or Oracle WebLogic Certification

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager.
