GoodWe, founded in 2010, is one of the top 5 leading global solar inverter and battery storage manufacturers. Our team at GoodWe USA Inc. is growing quickly and we need support in service and after sales. This is a unique opportunity to enter the quickly growing renewable energy segment.

Job Purpose: Responsible for analyzing failures, both hardware and software remotely and in installs. Focus area will be residential at the beginning, later expanded to C&I. Formulate technical issues and communicate with R&D colleagues in hq. This is mostly in inward facing role. The candidate will provide technical support in the North American market. The work environment is 5 days in office, and the candidate is based in the Denver area. Travel expected to be 10-20%.

Responsibilities

  1. Service and support on solar inverters and battery energy storage systems.
  2. Conduct testing in laboratory and installations.
  3. Conduct beta testing in close collaboration with R&D during last product development stage.
  4. Design and plan test and test procedures to verify product and system capabilities.
  5. Solve technical escalations, analyze problems and describe them.
  6. Perform firmware upgrades on different subcomponents.
  7. Reporting.
  8. Write and define engineering change requests.

Qualifications

  1. At least a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Excellent English communication skills. Speaks Mandarin.
  3. Good MS Office skills, in particular EXCEL MS.
  4. Hands-on experience with board design and testing and interest in lab work.
  5. Desired is training (college classes) in power electronics, understanding fundamentals of IGBT.
  6. Above average analytical skills, interest in fast paced environment.
  7. Communicates well and ability to articulate complex technical content.
