Salary: $22 - 35 per hour, depending on specific experience

We are looking for a motivated, entry-level Environmental Compliance Associate to join our team! This is an exciting time of growth for our company: we ve increased our headcount by 26% in the last year and we aren t slowing down. This is a full-time, hourly position. Location flexible within the Davis area. No stormwater experience needed we ll teach you what you need to know to be a competent, qualified stormwater professional.

In this role you ll support environmental and stormwater compliance projects, including assisting clients comply with stormwater regulations and prevent pollutants from leaving the project boundary and entering our waterways. Responsibilities will include conducting site inspections to ensure Best Management Practices (BMPs) are adequate, evaluating project site for contaminant risk and working with the onsite crew to remedy any notable concerns, and conducting water quality monitoring of any water flowing offsite. Some inspections will be performed during rain events.

This position performs work under supervision/guidance of more senior staff supporting both routine and complex projects. Travel and some overnight travel will be required, with periodic weekend and long hours.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree, preferably in an environmental discipline, sciences, or engineering
  • Valid driver s license and reliable transportation

All positions at S2S are subject to a background and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years experience supporting stormwater compliance
  • Knowledge of water quality or Stormwater management information, techniques, practices, laws, and regulations of the job or occupational field
  • Current QSP / QSD Certification, or ability to obtain
  • Experience with the California Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS)
  • Familiarity with Arc GIS Pro
