Job Summary:

This position will provide interconnection & market support to help grow company s renewable energy & storage business across various regions within US. This position will be assisting the Transmission & Markets team and experience in either western or eastern interconnection is required. The ideal candidate will have utility scale transmission and interconnection experience either with a Utility, ISO/RTO, Developer or Consulting company. Title will be commensurate with experience.

Job Functions:

  • Support company s power generation project development, acquisition, and operations activities in the areas of electric transmission/interconnection/markets.
  • Support preparing, submitting, and managing generator interconnection requests and follow study processes as needed.
  • Perform power flow analysis, review models, and review studies to determine potential upgrade and costs associated with interconnection.
  • Coordinate, review, and interpret interconnection and transmission studies (short circuit, transient stability, and load flow) performed by utilities and outside consultants.
  • Support developing strategies to enter new markets and select preferred zones within various markets for greenfield development.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of key congestion issues across various ISOs/RTOs.
  • Support M&A team as needed on transmission, interconnection & congestion issues and support developing views on preferred markets / zones.
  • Assist in developing supply stack assumptions across various markets. Support performing economic assessment / production cost modelling as needed to support due diligence activities.
  • Follow key ISO/RTO stakeholder processes and provide inputs to the team on key market/policy issues.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience required. Title commensurate with experience.
  • Experience supporting transmission interconnection activities with Developer, Consultant, Utility or ISO/RTO preferred
  • Working knowledge of the interconnection processes & market structures across various ISOs/RTOs.
  • Experience with load flow analysis tools such as GE PSLF, PowerGEM TARA, PSSE or PowerWorld required.
  • Experience with economic analysis tools such as PROMOD, Gridview, Dayzer preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints.
  • WECC and CAISO experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position is available onsite from the following REV offices: Walnut Creek, CA; St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; New York City, NY. A remote/hybrid schedule will be considered for select candidates who strongly meet all requirements.
