Job Description

The Warehouse Technician I is a dedicated and reliable individual delegated to personally handling material inventories, goods-in activities, and relevant operations in the Petaluma and Novato facilities, to include assigned projects of addressing and further developing the growing needs of LGC Biosearch s supply chain management and organization therein as outlined by ISO 9001 and 13485 GMP standards.

While guidance would come from management, the Warehouse Technician I would primarily work independently, focusing on tasks involving Biosearch s warehouse processes, organization, and inventory managements therein.

  • Support to all Inventory and warehouse-related tasks, addressing demands in both Petaluma and Novato sites.
  • Work within a Goods Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment when applicable, supporting guidelines to uphold GMP and ISO 13485 standards, as required.
  • Provide support to Petaluma-based Receiving (Goods-In) and other Warehouse Inventory staff, working also in tandem with the Novato site Receiving staff.
  • Address areas of opportunity involving purchased and manufactured goods, as well as support solution designs pertaining to the Receiving & Inventory processes and process flows bringing in said goods for use by various internal customers.
  • Support stockroom inventory and ordering requests, adhering to Lean and FIFO inventory management practices.
  • Utilization of inventory tracking systems and reviewing levels of supplies
  • Support robust cycle counting functionalities.
  • Work daily with cross-functional teams, including EHS, Facilities, Procurement, Production, Material Handling, and Operations.
  • Support Quality Control and Assurance in the release of inbound materials
  • Manage the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse and production floor inventory shelving areas to meet 5S and OSHA standards.
  • Ensures that relevant equipment is utilized and maintained in the most efficient manner.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with both internal & external customers.
  • Stocking inventory to their assigned locations using manual and barcode scanning methods.
  • Support supply chain Lean methods, and proactively work to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Adhere to existing SOP documentation to see that the Inventory and Receiving processes are in line with the needs of the business.
  • Schedule/Core Hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with potential for added hours as the workload requires.
Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory management
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Regular use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
  • ERP system familiarity; FMP and/or IFS a plus
  • Flexibility to changing operating conditions
  • Ability to influence performance and team development
  • Prioritization and delegation of daily/weekly tasks
  • Daily use of computers in an ERP setting
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques
  • Enthusiastic team player with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Able to lift 40lbs.
  • Kanban familiarity
  • HAZWOPER certification a plus
  • Forklift familiarity recommended, certification a plus
  • Warehouse environment experience a plus

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: $ 20/Hourly

Maximum: $ 30.65/Hourly

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.
