Job Overview
On of our key clients is seeking a visionary and experienced VP of Engineering to lead and oversee the software engineering department of a forward-thinking healthcare technology company. Our product offering includes a cutting-edge digital care companion and enablement platform designed to address the growing needs of the aging population and the desire for patients to age and be cared for at home. This role requires both strong leadership and hands-on technical expertise to drive our engineering efforts, making a significant impact in the healthcare space.

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, or Los Angeles, CA, and requires on-site presence at one of these two locations.

Requirements

Vice President of Engineering, Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the software engineering department, including team management, strategic direction, and technical oversight.
  • Develop and implement a forward-looking technical strategy that aligns with the company's goals.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product management to ensure the successful development and delivery of software products that meet market needs and customer expectations.
  • Establish and enhance engineering processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Work closely with AI, Hardware, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the engineering budget to ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet project goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a VP of Engineering, overseeing a software department.
  • Strong background in software development and engineering management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A collaborative attitude is essential.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical problem-solving.
