Packaging Engineer

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers and stakeholders, to design packaging structures, create drawings, and manage schedules for complex engineering challenges.


• Manage part development, ensuring targets for cost, mass, performance, and timing are met, from project inception through start of production.


• 
  
  Communicate clearly and frequently with internal and external teams, including management, project leaders, suppliers.
  
  


• Utilize CATIA V5 to develop 3D design data and prepare 2D drawings.


• 
  
  Apply the problem-solving methodology in obeya meetings and collaborate with other engineering teams and suppliers.
  
  


• Prepare documentation using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


• Perform additional duties as assigned, including potential overtime work.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).


• 5+ years of experience in vehicle development, including collaboration with suppliers.


• Proficient in CATIA V5 for 3D data and drawing preparation (4+ years).


• Experience in supporting production vehicle trials.


• Strong problem-solving skills with experience documenting solutions and communicating results.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across functions.


• Fundamental understanding of both vehicle development and manufacturing processes.


• Ability to manage multiple projects with planning and scheduling abilities.
