Java SDET Engineer
Location: Remote
Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SDET Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and test automation, with extensive programming skills in Java. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open source technologies and/or in-house frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Lead Quality engineering activities in an agile environment, including test strategy formulation, test case preparation, and risk-based testing approaches.
Conduct front-end UI testing and back-end testing (database, APIs/Services).
Engage in continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
Utilize code versioning tools (e.g., Git, SVN) effectively.
Write complex SQL queries for validation purposes.
Work with Jira or similar Agile process tools for defect and test management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
10+ years of hands-on experience in software development and test automation, with concurrent coding skills in Java.
Proficiency in API testing (SOAP and MicroServices), UI and Mobile Testing.
Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and familiarity with BDD/Cucumber.
Knowledge in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices.
Excellent SQL skills and experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
Strong application debugging skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to complete assigned objectives with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Quality Discipline & Agile:
Leading QE activities in Agile: Test strategy, test case preparation, risk-based testing approaches, story point estimation, bug logging, and reporting.
Experience in front-end UI verification/validation and backend testing.
Knowledge of AWS/Lambda and Kafka messaging.
Proficiency in Automation Technologies and Skills:
Core Java Programming, Selenium, TestNG, Maven.
Experience with Git or other source control systems.
CICD integration tools knowledge (e.g., Octopus, Jenkins).
