The AIG Clean Energy team, a newly formed division, provides strategic direction, market intelligence, industry knowledge, and workflow expertise to drive impactful cross-divisional initiatives in market development, business development, and marketing. These initiatives aim to cultivate portfolio evolution, sales growth, and market share capture in the Battery, Hydrogen, and Solar segments.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic R&D Project Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be organized, confident, and ambitious, with experience in managing R&D projects to expand our Clean Energy product portfolio. This role involves collaborating with various businesses and global teams to develop market-ready products in alignment with Thermo Fisher Scientific's broader Clean Energy product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with R&D teams across different divisions and relevant partners to contribute to the new product development process.

Drive the execution of R&D projects by formulating detailed plans with cross-functional teams to meet resource, budget, release timing, and critical metric expectations.

Provide advice on defining the requirements and specifications for new products in the Clean Energy sector.

Ensure necessary resources are in place by closely interacting with R&D and other functions.

Foster accountability within cross-functional roles across a matrixed organization.

Enhance project visibility through dashboards, meeting minutes, presentations, and other tools.

Meet regularly with collaborators to keep them informed, aligned, and develop actionable plans.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in processes that impact efficiency and the internal and external customer experience.

Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field is required.

Minimum of 2 years of project management experience and team leadership in R&D, specifically in developing product strategies within the Clean Energy segment.

Experience in the Battery, Hydrogen, or Solar segments is highly advantageous.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, partners, and internal collaborators.

Experience leading project teams with multi-functional, multi-business, and/or distributed team members.

Strong focus on organization and efficiency, able to manage multiple projects at once.

Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.

Demonstrated sense of organization, ownership, and responsibility.

Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous improvement, holding self and others accountable.

Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.

Established track record of focusing on details and following established processes.

Valuing collaboration and having a collaborative approach.
