Responsibilities

  • Depeding on the specific team you work with, Client Engineering Summer Team Members:
  • Operate and maintain a variety of audio-visual systems and equipment, including projectors, cameras, video switchers, monitors, audio amplifiers, mixers, livestream equipment, and video conferencing tools.
  • Provide routine maintenance and troubleshooting for nonfunctional and inoperable AV equipment and end-user audio or video issues.
  • Complete meeting and event setups, including furniture and AV equipment placement, and provide support for team meetings, huddles, and trainings both on and off site.
  • Install and upgrade hardware and software for client environments, including computers, laptops, printers, and imaging PCs using SCCM.
  • Troubleshoot end-user software and hardware issues in diverse operating system environments, focusing on basic PC repair and printer installation.
  • Assist with inventory management, asset control, and storage of AV and IT equipment, ensuring organization and cleanliness of stockrooms and warehouses.
  • Handle equipment movement during move/add/change requests and pack and unpack items in stockrooms and storage areas.
  • Monitor store product counts, analyze sales records, compare them to physical inventory, and report discrepancies to senior specialists.
  • Notify senior specialists when stock levels are low and need replenishment, and remove defective equipment from the floor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, prioritizing tasks and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in cohort project with other Summer Team Members, developing and designing team specific tasks, executing project work, and delivering progress presentations.
  • Participate in project focused Scrum rituals (standup, refinement, planning, retrospective).

Qualifications

  • Graduating with a bachelor s degree in 2025 or 2026 (current junior/senior status).
  • The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from the end of May to mid-August.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to both thrive in a team environment and effectively work independently to complete assignments on time.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to receive and apply feedback.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills while being comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate adaptability and forward thinking in the face of technological or organizational change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a clear, simple, and understandable way.
  • Familiarity with basic AV equipment including projectors, microphones, portable sound systems, mixing boards, etc.
  • Understanding of basic network systems, component and devices.
  • Must be able to complete projects and tasks independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of desktop and network support including Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
