We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for our client based in Detroit.

You will bring solid industry experience in SW development for the automotive industry for tier1 and OEM companies.

You will be responsible for business growth and company expansion. Represent company at industry events and build network and understanding of wider industry.

Job Description

- Assess the competitive positioning of a company and apply SWOT analysis techniques to formulate strategic plans, emphasizing e-mobility, cyber security, and diagnostic solutions.

- Establish objectives and create strategies for business and revenue expansion.

- Conduct market analysis to pinpoint potential new customers.

- Recognize opportunities for partnerships.

- Cultivate new connections to foster business growth and support company expansion.

- Independently secure new customers (OEM/Tier 1) and initiate projects with potential clients.

- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends to identify and attract new customers.

- Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and events.

- Continuously expand your network and maintain a comprehensive understanding of changes and opportunities in the market environment.

Requirements

- Required: Extensive experience in software development for the automotive industry (Tier 1/OEM).

- Applicants must be a resident of the United States of America.

- Solid technical education (FH, Uni) in disciplines such as mechanical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

- Several years of expertise in business development or technical sales, demonstrating a strong customer centric approach.

- Possesses strong Research & Strategy skills, enabling effective analysis and planning within the dynamic business environment.

-Demonstrates Project Management Skills, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of tasks to achieve project objectives.

-Exhibits excellent entrepreneurial mindset, negotiation & Persuasion skills, facilitating successful interactions and agreements with various stakeholders.

-Shows proficiency in Business Intelligence, utilizing data and insights to inform strategic decision-making within the organization.

- Willingness to travel, along with intercultural understanding.

- Proficient in both written and spoken English.

- Thorough proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Demonstrates passion for the future of automobiles and a forward-thinking approach to entrepreneurship.
