The Quality Assurance and Regulation Directorate within Healthcare Improvement Scotland undertakes a range of inspection, regulation and review activities in a planned and proactive manner to provide public assurance on safety and quality of care across the whole of Scotland.

Our work is varied and we are looking for an enthusiastic programme manager who can work effectively as part of an highly effective multi-disciplinary team.

The role, which is based in our programme management function, involves working flexibly across all directorate functions managing the delivery of complex national programmes which form part of the QAD annual quality assurance and regulation plan. You will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of a portfolio of workstreams, work with senior managers to support staff deployment and capacity planning and support the implementation and improvement of systems and processes which assist delivery of the Directorate’s objectives.

As an experienced programme manager you will have sound knowledge and skills to ensure multiple national programmes are delivered within agreed parameters. You will be creative, adaptable and an innovative problem solver who is a confident communicator and effective team player. You will have the ability to lead and manage programme staff, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and prioritise competing demands within the directorate.

Educated to degree level or equivalent skills in the planning, managing and delivery of a demanding programme schedule. This role may require travel throughout Scotland (including overnight stays).
