About The Position

Stampli is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our expanding team here at Stampli. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in economics and a proven track record of due diligence in Private Equity, venture capital, or startup environments.

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving financial and business insights, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and analyzing key financial metrics to inform strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the Global Vice President of Finance and work closely with our CEO, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to high-level financial strategies and drive impactful decisions that shape the future of Stampli.

This role offers the flexibility of working from our Mountain View, CA office two days a week (Wednesday and Thursday), with the option to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Planning: Assist in the development, monitoring, and management of the annual budget and periodic forecasts. Work closely with department leaders to ensure financial plans are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build, maintain, and refine complex financial models to project company performance and evaluate new business opportunities. Conduct scenario analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities in business strategies.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, offering actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple teams to collect and assess relevant data, ensuring financial objectives are aligned with broader business goals.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide accurate and timely financial analyses for special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc requests to support executive decision-making.
  • Process Development & Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance financial processes, improving data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in due diligence in a private equity or venture capital firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software tools.
  • Self-starter and proactive.
  • Strong ability to critically analyze complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Compensation And Benefits

  • The base salary hiring range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
