The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of materials and components used in Hithium’s battery module, battery pack, and battery container manufacturing process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control plans at the supplier, conducting supplier audits, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your job also involves communicating well with internal and external teams, conducting failure analysis, and initiating continuous improvement programs to keep improving manufacturing efficiency to achieve Hithium’s quality and cost reduction goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supplier quality control plans, including inspection procedures, acceptance criteria, and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct audits of suppliers' facilities and quality systems to assess their capabilities and compliance with Industry standards.
  • Analyze quality data and identify trends to address potential issues proactively.
  • Work with suppliers to develop and implement corrective actions for identified quality problems.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of all quality activities, including audits, reports, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as manufacturing, engineering, and procurement, to meet quality requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and quality standards.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and report all activities and matters relating to supplier performance.
  • Self-starter seeks opportunities to improve processes, part quality, and overall efficiency; Identifies trends and priorities by organizing and graphing/charting data; Applies project management and systems engineering tools to complete complex tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supplier quality engineering role.
  • Experience with conducting supplier audits and developing quality control plans.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 QMS requirements. IATF16949 is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level;
  • Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations.
  • Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques
  • Experience with BESS components is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with quality management software is a plus.
