Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
In support of our customer s drive for continual Process Improvement, by evaluating and eliminating manufacturing non-conformances and related issues such as customer complaints, producibility limitations, and production delays, through the formal identification of root causes as well as the implementation of robust preventative and effective corrective actions.
Principle Roles & Responsibilities
Conducting 'Data Mining' and analyzing Non-Conformance issues
Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities within the plant to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance (e.g. DMAIC, 8D, 5-Why)
Leading and performing Process Capability Studies and Measurement system analysis
Conducting PFMEA and implementing the necessary Control Plans
Support Cost Engineering with Cost Analysis- Material and Production Cost
Participate in cross-functional Corrective Action Board meetings and provide support to the customer s Design, Manufacturing & Purchasing Functions & Engine Project Teams
The creation of How To's, Work Instructions, SOP s, Technical instruction and other inspection planning documents
Monitoring and controlling the implementation of improvement actions and reporting effectiveness, in terms of Quality Cost and Delivery
Work Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of different manufacturing processes (primarily metals)
Fully conversant reading Engineering & Manufacturing Drawings
Expert in interpreting the GD&T (standards ASME Y 14.5, JES 161)
Knowledge in Measurements system analysis (MSA)
Hands on experience in using all types of Measuring & Testing equipment, both contact - non-contact, analog & digital
Expert in Root Cause Analysis, implementation and other problem-solving techniques / tools
Knowledge of NDT and special process techniques
Working knowledge of Non-Conformance management, containment procedures and traceability techniques
Awareness of aerospace/auto quality requirements (AS9100, OSHAS, TS 16949, various ISO)

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate in a Mechanical / Manufacturing Degree or equivalent work experience
Should have background on Quality Management Systems
Green Belt+ certification in any Quality initiative would be added advantage
Minimum 8+ years relatable Manufacturing Engineering experience
IT SYSTEMS & SOTWARE SKILLS
MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project.
CAD Software: NX or equivalent
Analysis tools: Minitab14 and above
Product Lifecycle Management: Teamcenter / Solumina / Windchill
ADDITIONAL NON-MANDATORY SKILLS
Good understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing Environment
DESIRED PROFILE
Willing to travel to the Customer (Middletown, CT) - 50% and/or Customer s Suppliers (Domestic/Global) - 50% Dom/Int travel
