Senior Cloud Finops Analyst

Randstad is seeking a Senior Cloud FinOps Analyst for a client in Washington, D.C. This role will focus on optimizing cloud financial operations and governance across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, with expertise in cloud cost management, chargeback, and savings opportunities. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with FinOps tools like Cloudability, Apptio, or CloudHealth, along with a solid understanding of cloud financials, including S3 buckets, Lambda functions, and cloud optimization strategies. A strong background in cloud spend management, financial reporting, and governance is essential, with FinOps certification preferred. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and technical skills to drive financial efficiency and cost savings across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement FinOps strategies for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to optimize cloud spending and identify savings opportunities.
Utilize FinOps tools such as Cloudability, Apptio, or CloudHealth for cloud financial management and optimization.
Monitor and analyze cloud usage patterns to identify areas for cost savings and optimization, including rightsizing and resource adjustments.
Assist in designing and enforcing cloud governance policies, including cost allocation, tagging strategies, and chargeback models.
Manage cloud financial reporting and forecasting, including cost show-back and chargeback systems.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve cloud resource utilization and asset management strategies.
Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, FinOps practices, and industry trends.
Provide technical guidance on cloud financials, such as S3 buckets, Lambda functions, and cloud optimization techniques.
Organize and document infrastructure requests, create technical design specifications, and manage cloud-related projects.
Demonstrate expertise in cloud pricing models, financial management principles, and optimization strategies.
