Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Sr. QA Tester to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee. You will play a vital role in our testing team, responsible for planning, constructing, and executing a wide range of tests, including product, system, unit, load, volume, and network tests with release control process as well as works with others for release control processes.

  • Develop and implement testing standards for the Application Development department.
  • Create comprehensive test models for product testing and release control, including plans, data, and scripts.
  • Execute assembly and product tests effectively.
  • Determine time estimates and schedule work efforts, ensuring timely completion.
  • Communicate status updates and quality standards clearly and accurately.
  • Address and resolve testing process questions and issues.
  • Assist in planning, creating, and controlling test environments.
  • Collaborate with Team Lead to monitor estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals for tasks.
  • Enhance testing skills and foster technical and business knowledge within the team.
  • Create and update release installation procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and apply them as appropriate.
  • Define and utilize entry/exit criteria for testing.
  • Develop training plans for new testing resources.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of our release control processes.
  • Guide the development of testing standards and methodologies, enhancing our testing capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and spoken
  • Ability to work in a team enviroment

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4-year college degree (required)
  • 7+ years in testing
  • Analyzing data elements of enterprise applications.
  • Analyzing business requirements (functional and non-functional).
  • Using Microsoft products (SQL, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for at least 5 years.
  • Agile project methodologies for at least 4 years.
  • Version control tools (e.g., GIT) for at least 3 years.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with formal requirements gathering methodologies.
